Case Study
Engineering a Tech-Heavy Security Experience with Future Flexibility at ISC West 2025

Project Overview
The Challenge
Genea came to us with a complex challenge: create a booth that could showcase their extensive security technology portfolio—turnstiles, QR code readers, HID readers, cameras, intercoms, iPads, and monitors—while maintaining flexibility for future shows of varying scales.
The challenge was compounded by their need to evaluate their existing booth assets for potential reuse, navigate a shared wall with Quicklert, and create a solution that wasn't locked into a single configuration. They needed a design that could scale up or down, adapt to different show layouts, and maintain their brand presence whether as a 30×30 booth or something entirely different.
"We're pretty tech heavy—but flexibility is key. We need a solution that grows with us, not one that limits our future options."
The Creative Journey
We began by conducting a comprehensive audit of Genea's existing booth materials, identifying elements that could be refreshed and repurposed. This strategic approach allowed us to maximize their investment while introducing new modular components that would ensure future flexibility.
We developed a revolutionary modular system that could expand or contract based on show requirements. Each component was designed to work independently or as part of the larger whole, ensuring Genea could adapt to any booth size or configuration without starting from scratch.
With turnstiles, readers, cameras, and multiple display systems to incorporate, we created a sophisticated infrastructure plan. Hidden cable management, dedicated power zones, and strategic placement ensured every piece of technology was showcased optimally while maintaining clean aesthetics.
Despite sharing a wall with Quicklert, we created a distinct brand presence that commanded attention. The final design balanced Genea's tech-heavy requirements with an inviting, professional atmosphere that facilitated both demonstrations and business conversations.
Design Elements
Fully operational turnstiles demonstrated real-world security scenarios with integrated QR and HID reader capabilities for live access control demos.
iPad stations and monitors created an impressive tech wall showcasing Genea's software platforms and real-time security management capabilities.
Live camera feeds and intercom systems demonstrated comprehensive security solutions with crystal-clear audio-visual quality.
Every element designed for reconfiguration—walls, displays, and demo stations that could be rearranged for different booth sizes and layouts.
Dedicated areas for hands-on demonstrations allowed multiple concurrent presentations without interference or crowding.
Adaptable consultation areas that could transform from open discussion zones to semi-private meeting spaces based on visitor flow.
