Detroit Trade Show Booth Rentals

Built for people who build things. Priced like a contract.

Custom exhibits for Detroit’s engineering-grade show floors on one fixed, contractual number — design through dismantle, signed before we start and unchanged when it ends. The venue’s own charges get estimated against your booth before you commit, so the total isn’t a discovery.

Why build quality carries Detroit

Your booth will be judged like a build. Because it is one.

Exhibit in Detroit and your visitors are people who make things for a living — powertrain engineers, plant managers, tier-one buyers. They don’t experience a booth as marketing; they read it as workmanship. A wavy graphic panel or a rat’s nest of cable tells them something about your company before your team says a word.

So we build to be read that way. Engineered connections, managed cabling, print QC, lighting that flatters product rather than fighting it — and the whole booth standing complete in our shop for your photo approval before it ships to Michigan. What passes our floor passes theirs.

01

Workmanship that reads

Seam alignment, edge finishing, cable management — the details a technical audience checks first are the details our pre-build photo approval exists to verify.

02

The builder, direct

Design, fabrication, print and wiring in our own shop — no brokered subcontracts adding margin and drift. The people who drew your booth are the people who build it.

03

Demo-ready power & AV

Live equipment, running product and interactive screens get planned into the structure — load calculations, clean power routing and mounting engineered before the show, not gaffer-taped at move-in.

04

A price that survives procurement

One contractual figure, design through dismantle, that files on a PO exactly as quoted and closes out with zero variance — the way Detroit’s manufacturers already buy everything else.

The venue invoices these directly to every exhibitor, whichever exhibit company builds the booth. We estimate each line against your actual booth before you commit, then file inside the advance-rate window.

The second invoice

The delta your post-show audit always finds

Run the numbers on most exhibit projects after the show and the same delta appears: final spend versus approved quote, up a quarter or more. The venue didn’t cause it — venue charges are tariffed and predictable. The exhibit house did, in hourly labour that “ran over,” design help re-billed as change orders, and reprints priced like emergencies. One 20×20 island in Detroit, both ways:

Typical exhibit house
Quoted before you signed$28,000
Install & dismantle labour overrun+ $3,300
Change orders from design rounds+ $2,300
Rush graphics and reprints+ $1,200
Site supervision, hourly+ $1,100
Actually paid$35,900
28% above the quote
Pure Exhibits
Quoted before you signed$31,000
Install & dismantle labourIncluded
Design roundsUnlimited
Graphics productionIncluded
Site supervisionIncluded
Actually paid$31,000
Exactly the quote

On the venue’s invoice in both scenarios: space, electrical, drayage, rigging, cleaning, internet — the show’s charges, tariffed and identical whoever builds for you. A vendor who “includes” them has buried them. We forecast each line for your booth up front and place the orders before the advance-rate window closes.

We quote higher and cost less. Audit us on it — the final invoice matching the quote is the deliverable.

Huntington Place · The Novi Showplace

Two venues, thirty miles apart. Confirm which before anything books.

Metro Detroit’s shows split between two unrelated venues: Huntington Place on the downtown riverfront, and the Novi showplace off I-96 — renamed the Vibe Credit Union Showplace in January 2026, though half the industry still calls it Suburban Collection. They share nothing: different docks, different labour arrangements, different hotel geography. A plan built for the wrong one fails on every line at once, so it’s the first thing we confirm.

Huntington Place

Downtown riverfront · 723,000 sq ft · 623,000 contiguous

Detroit’s big floor, on the river with downtown hotels close — home to the marquee national shows, with union labour jurisdiction for construction and rigging. Our full Huntington Place exhibitor guide covers the building hall by hall.

The Novi showplace

Vibe Credit Union Showplace · 340,000 sq ft · off I-96

The metro’s second venue carries a dense calendar of regional trade shows and consumer expos, with expansive parking and suburban access. Smaller halls change booth strategy: shorter sightlines, graphics-forward builds, tighter footprints working harder.

The winter variable

Great Lakes winters · Jan–Mar shows

Detroit’s calendar runs through real winter, and lake-effect weather can compress freight and move-in windows. Winter loads ship with buffer days planned, and a pre-built booth arriving as one consolidated shipment gives weather one target instead of five.

What we run for you here
  • Venue and hall confirmation before anything books
  • Floor plan filings and venue approvals
  • Dock target times — with weather buffers in season
  • Electrical, rigging and drayage ordered at advance rates
  • COI and contractor paperwork per venue
  • Supervised install, show-day support, dismantle
Worth knowing before you plan

The two venues run different labour rules — Huntington Place operates under union jurisdiction for booth construction and rigging, while the Novi showplace’s arrangements differ. Our fixed price carries supervised crews compliant with whichever floor your show books, and we confirm the rules with the general service contractor before your plan is written, not at move-in.

The equipment-show problem

At Detroit’s technical shows, the demo is the booth

Detroit’s marquee events are equipment shows — The Battery Show alone brings 1,300-plus suppliers downtown to Huntington Place each fall, having outgrown its suburban home — and their audiences come to see things run. A booth that treats the demo as a screen in the corner has misread the assignment: here, the running machinery is the architecture, and everything else exists to frame it.

The design brief that follows: power and load planned into the structure from the first drawing, not discovered at move-in; safety clearances and sightlines engineered so a crowd can watch equipment work; product mounting that holds real weight; and quiet, managed cabling everywhere an engineer will look — because they will.

01

Power planned, not patched

Live equipment gets load calculations and clean power routing engineered into the booth — with the venue’s electrical order filed to match, at advance rates, before the deadline.

02

Sightlines to running product

Demos draw standing crowds; the floor plan gives them somewhere to stand. Viewing angles, safety clearances and staff positions are designed in, so the demo gathers a crowd instead of blocking an aisle.

03

Mounting that holds

Real product weighs real amounts. Mounts, plinths and rigging get engineered to the actual spec sheet — and verified when the complete booth stands in our shop before shipping.

Exhibiting across the Midwest? Chicago, Indianapolis and Columbus run on the same published fixed model — one booth design, one project manager, and every city’s price known before your year starts.

When to start, by show

Detroit’s fixed points, with the planning runway each realistically needs. Around these, both venues carry a steady rotation of supplier, manufacturing and consumer shows — name yours and we’ll pull its manual before we quote. Exhibiting at Huntington Place? The Battery Show gets five months, not four — equipment booths carry power engineering and mounting work that display booths don’t, 1,300 exhibitors book the same services in the same window, and its new downtown home means last year’s Novi logistics no longer apply.

Working backwards

The calendar that matters runs in reverse

Show dates don’t create cost pressure — order deadlines do, and the decisive one closes roughly eight weeks out, when advance rates on electrical, rigging and drayage expire. Everything else in the plan exists to arrive at that gate comfortably.

−4 MONTHSHall confirmed; layout submitted for approval.
−10 WEEKSArtwork frozen and moved into print.
−8 WEEKSAdvance rates on show services expire. The gate everything aims at.

SHOW WEEKInstall lands in your window; you arrive to a working booth.
Rush and last-minute

A month out is workable

Late vendor collapse, a show slot that opened up, a budget approved behind schedule — with design, fabrication and print in one building, a Detroit booth can go approval-to-floor in about four weeks. Same quality gate (built and photographed before shipping), same printed price. Compressed timelines are our scheduling problem, not your surcharge.

  • Roughly four weeks, approval to show floor
  • Photo-verified pre-build, even on rush
  • 10×10 through 20×40 on compressed timelines
  • The published price holds — no rush premium
Questions exhibitors actually ask

Detroit booth rental FAQs

How much does a trade show booth rental cost in Detroit?
The table above is the answer: $13,000–$15,500 for a 10×10 through $60,500–$71,500 for a 30×40 — design, build, graphics, freight, crews and management in one contractual figure. The venue bills space, electrical, drayage and rigging separately to every exhibitor; we forecast those lines for your booth before you sign.
Can I rent a 10×10, 10×20 or 20×20 booth in Detroit?
Yes — they’re Detroit’s workhorse sizes, dominating the supplier and component floors where a tight footprint with a running demo outperforms empty acreage. The pricing table above links each size to its full Detroit catalog, every design finishable as fully custom.
Do I see the booth design before I commit?
Yes — a photorealistic 3D design revised until you approve, at no charge. Then the finished booth stands complete in our shop and you sign off on photographs of it before it ships to Michigan. The design conversation happens before the money conversation closes, not after.
Huntington Place or Novi — does the venue change anything?
Nearly everything operational: docks, labour arrangements, freight timing, hotels. The two venues are thirty miles apart and share nothing — and Novi’s was renamed the Vibe Credit Union Showplace in January 2026, so check which name your show’s paperwork uses. We confirm the venue before committing freight or crews.
Can you support live equipment demos in the booth?
That’s the Detroit specialty: load calculations and clean power routing engineered into the structure, the venue’s electrical order filed to match at advance rates, safety clearances and sightlines planned for a watching crowd, and mounting built to your product’s actual spec sheet — all verified when the complete booth stands in our shop.
What should Battery Show exhibitors know for 2026?
Two things: the show now runs downtown at Huntington Place — its Novi-era logistics no longer apply — and with 1,300-plus exhibitors booking the same services in the same window, the advance-rate deadlines arrive faster than the show date suggests. Start five months out and both are comfortable.
Is freight to Detroit included — even for winter shows?
Round trip, inside the fixed price, never a line item — and January-through-March shows ship with buffer days planned against Great Lakes weather as standard. A pre-built booth travels as one consolidated shipment, which is precisely what you want a storm to be aiming at.
Do you handle union labor at Huntington Place?
Yes — the venue operates under union jurisdiction for booth construction and rigging, and our fixed price carries supervised, compliant crews. We confirm the current rules with the show’s general service contractor before your plan is written, not at move-in.
Will a rental read as custom on the floor?
The structure is modular; every surface a visitor sees — graphics, lighting, finishes, layout — is designed for your brand. The gallery above is all rentals. You judge for yourself before it ships, from photographs of your actual booth standing in our shop.
Who’s with us during move-in and the show?
Our install supervisor runs your move-in window on the floor, and your project manager stays reachable through every show day. Pre-verified builds make move-in quiet — and when the floor produces a surprise anyway, the people who built the booth are the ones responding.
