Case Study
M.C. Dean
Building intelligence from the show floor in a first-ever exhibit hall booth at ISC West 2025
Pure Exhibits designed and built M.C. Dean's 20×30 custom booth at ISC West 2025 — the company's first-ever exhibit hall presence at the nation's premier security event, launching their Managed Services platform and showcasing four pillars of cyber-physical solutions from Booth #31053 at the Venetian Expo in Las Vegas to more than 30,000 security professionals.
The Challenge
First Booth, Full Ecosystem
ISC West is the largest security trade show in North America — more than 30,000 enterprise security leaders representing practitioners, operators, integrators, and OEMs converging at the Venetian Expo in Las Vegas for four days of technology demonstrations and deal-making. For M.C. Dean, a company with over 9,000 professionals and decades of work building cyber-physical solutions for the nation's most mission-critical facilities, the stakes at ISC West 2025 were uniquely high: this was their first-ever exhibit hall booth at the show.
The challenge: M.C. Dean's security capabilities span four distinct operational pillars — Distributed Systems, Scalable Systems, Complex Operations, and Enterprise Security Delivery — plus the launch of an entirely new Managed Services platform. The booth needed to translate each pillar into a tangible, demonstrable experience while also introducing the SIA NPS Award-winning Managed Services offering to an audience that had previously known M.C. Dean primarily through panels, customer events, and industry reputation. The 20×30 footprint had to communicate the breadth of a company ranked No. 5 on SDM's Top Systems Integrators report without overwhelming first-time visitors.
"This was our most expansive presence to date — we launched our managed services offering, hosted live demonstrations in our first-ever exhibit hall booth at ISC, presented panels and technical sessions, hosted customer engagement events, and received an industry award acknowledging our great people."
— Julaine Simmons, SVP Security & Electronic Systems, M.C. Dean
The Creative Journey
From Systems Integrator to Show Floor Experience
Four-Pillar Kiosk Architecture
Designing a central, multi-sided kiosk hub where each face was dedicated to one of M.C. Dean's four operational pillars — Distributed Systems, Scalable Systems, Complex Operations, and Enterprise Security Delivery. Each panel featured its own widescreen monitor, service descriptions, and line-art iconography, allowing attendees to approach from any aisle and immediately engage with a specific capability without navigating through unrelated content.
Managed Services Launch Platform
Positioning the booth as the official launchpad for M.C. Dean's new Managed Services offering — the cloud-managed, SaaS-based enterprise security platform that won the SIA New Products + Solutions (NPS) Award at the show. The kiosk screens featured live demonstrations of Cloud Managed Services interfaces, letting attendees interact with the platform in real time rather than reviewing static slide decks.
Executive Meeting Enclosure
Creating a semi-enclosed meeting lounge along one side of the booth, defined by thick blue structural pillars, frosted privacy panels, and a lime-green branded canopy overhead. The space featured warm wood-style flooring, Eames-style white chairs, and small circular tables — a deliberate shift from the tech-forward kiosk area to a calm, hospitality-grade environment designed for executive conversations and customer engagement events.
Dual-Identity Brand System
Establishing a visual language that merged M.C. Dean's engineering authority with approachable trade show energy. The blue-to-lime-green gradient on the large hanging sign, the blue LED base lighting throughout the kiosks, and the clean white surfaces communicated technological precision, while the branded canopy over the meeting area and the biophilic touches — including a potted plant — softened the booth's edges for longer, more comfortable dwell times.
Design Elements
Six Signature Features
Four-Pillar Kiosk Hub
The booth's operational core — a multi-sided central structure where each face addressed a distinct M.C. Dean capability: Distributed Systems with cloud-managed services, Scalable Systems with automated security deployment, Complex Operations with integrated security operations, and Enterprise Security Delivery. Each panel paired a large widescreen monitor displaying live software interfaces with clean line-art iconography of networked buildings and gears. White interaction counters below each screen invited hands-on engagement, while blue LED strips at the kiosk base cast an ambient glow that defined the hub's footprint on the show floor.
Blue-to-Green Hanging Sign
A large, square-format overhead sign featuring the M.C. Dean "Building Intelligence" logo set against a gradient that transitioned from deep blue to vibrant lime green. The sign provided omnidirectional brand visibility across the Venetian Expo floor, its color gradient creating a distinctive visual signature that distinguished M.C. Dean from the predominantly monochrome signage of neighboring exhibitors. The contrast between the sign's bright palette and the dark convention ceiling drew the eye from multiple aisles.
Cyber-Physical Identity Wall
A prominent panel within the central hub declaring M.C. Dean as the "Leader in Cyber-Physical Solutions — redefining the way complex, distributed, large-scale systems are designed, delivered, and sustained." The messaging wall anchored the booth's narrative, bridging the gap between the four operational kiosks and establishing M.C. Dean's overarching identity for attendees who may have recognized the company name but not the full scope of its capabilities.
Executive Meeting Enclosure
A semi-enclosed lounge space framed by thick blue vertical pillars supporting a lime-green branded canopy bearing the "M.C. Dean Building Intelligence" mark. Frosted privacy panels created a "room within a room" atmosphere while maintaining sightlines to the central kiosk area. Inside, warm wood-style flooring, white Eames-style chairs, small circular tables, and a potted plant established a hospitality-grade setting — purpose-built for the executive conversations, customer engagement events, and private demonstrations that M.C. Dean hosted throughout the four-day show.
Blue LED Base Lighting
A continuous blue LED lighting system running along the base of every kiosk panel, casting an ambient glow onto the polished flooring and creating a futuristic, "cyber" atmosphere. The lighting defined clear boundaries between M.C. Dean's space and the adjacent convention carpet, reinforcing the cyber-physical brand identity while serving a practical wayfinding function — attendees could spot the blue glow from several aisles away.
Live Demo Monitors
Large widescreen monitors integrated into each kiosk face, running live demonstrations of M.C. Dean's software platforms — from cloud-managed security dashboards to network visualization tools showing globe and distributed system graphics. The screens served as the primary engagement mechanism, drawing attendees into conversations with M.C. Dean's engineering team and allowing real-time walkthroughs of the newly launched Enterprise Security SaaS and Managed Services platforms.

Impact & Results
By the Numbers
Building Intelligence, Live
ISC West 2025 marked a turning point for M.C. Dean's trade show strategy. After years of building their ISC presence through panels, technical sessions, and customer events, the company's first exhibit hall booth at Booth #31053 gave physical form to a message that had previously been delivered from podiums and conference rooms.
The four-pillar kiosk architecture proved essential to M.C. Dean's storytelling. A security operations director exploring complex operations could engage with the Integrated Security Operations panel without being routed through the distributed systems pitch, while a facilities manager evaluating scalable deployments found a dedicated demo waiting at the adjacent kiosk face. The modular structure respected the diversity of M.C. Dean's audience — from federal practitioners to global enterprise operators — while the "Leader in Cyber-Physical Solutions" messaging wall anchored every conversation in a single, unifying identity.
The Managed Services launch dominated the show narrative. Featured in industry news coverage, showcased through the SIA NPS Award process, and demonstrated live on the kiosk screens, the cloud-managed enterprise security platform became the booth's strongest draw. Combined with the executive meeting enclosure — where customer engagement events ran throughout the four-day show — the booth delivered what Julaine Simmons called M.C. Dean's "most expansive presence to date," transforming a 20×30 footprint into a comprehensive launch platform for the company's next chapter.
