TE Connectivity
Bringing precision medical technology to life with a custom 20×30 island booth at MD&M West 2026
Pure Exhibits designed and built TE Connectivity's custom island booth at MD&M West 2026 — a commanding 20×30 exhibition showcasing the company's medical device components, connectors, and sensor solutions to thousands of MedTech engineers and decision-makers at the Anaheim Convention Center.
The Challenge
Engineering Trust in Every Connection
MD&M West is the largest medical design and manufacturing event in North America — three days, 1,700+ exhibitors, and tens of thousands of engineers, R&D leaders, and procurement professionals all converging on the Anaheim Convention Center. For TE Connectivity, the stakes were clear: stand out in a sea of medical device suppliers and reinforce their position as the partner of choice for precision connectivity solutions.
The challenge was multifaceted: communicate the breadth of TE's medical portfolio — from surgical-grade connectors handling up to 612 pins to interventional catheter components and advanced sensor solutions — while creating an environment sophisticated enough for deep technical conversations yet inviting enough to draw engineers off the show floor. Every connection counts, and the booth needed to embody that promise at scale.
"Every connection counts. More of your device, fewer suppliers — strength where devices are hardest to get right."
— TE Connectivity, MD&M West 2026
The Creative Journey
Precision by Design
Brand Translation
Translating TE Connectivity's industrial precision into a physical space that felt both technically authoritative and approachable. The design anchored around TE's signature orange and a bold yellow-to-orange gradient palette — warm, energetic tones that popped against the neutral convention floor while staying unmistakably on-brand across every sightline.
Architectural Presence
Engineering a 20×30 island structure with a large, square overhead hanging sign bearing the TE Connectivity logo on all four faces — visible from every approach across the expo hall. The elevated signage established the booth as a landmark destination, anchoring the brand's presence among 1,700+ exhibitors and guiding foot traffic from deep in the hall.
Medical Storytelling
Developing a visual narrative centered on TE's role in life-saving medical technology — large-format fabric graphics featuring medical professionals in surgical environments, anatomical visualizations rendered in striking cyan-blue digital overlays, and bold messaging like "Strength Where Devices Are Hardest to Get Right" and "Built to Scale Development Through Production."
Experience Zones
Dividing the 600 sq ft footprint into purpose-driven zones: a prominent reception counter with orange LED underglow for first contact, recessed product display shelves for hands-on component inspection, monitor-equipped demo stations for technical walkthroughs, and a semi-private meeting area screened by vertical wooden slat walls — creating flow from casual browsing to deep-dive conversations.
Design Elements
Six Signature Features
Landmark Hanging Sign
A large, square overhead structure framed in TE's signature orange, featuring the white TE Connectivity logo and brand mark on all four faces. Suspended high above the booth, the sign served as a wayfinding beacon across the entire expo floor — immediately identifiable from every aisle and drawing attendees toward the island from hundreds of feet away. The clean white logo against the saturated orange made it one of the most recognizable landmarks in the hall.
Immersive Medical Imagery
Floor-to-ceiling fabric graphic panels featuring life-size photographs of medical professionals in surgical environments — scrubs, loupes, and operating rooms — paired with bold messaging including "Every Connection Counts" and "More of Your Device, Fewer Suppliers." The human-scale medical imagery immediately communicated TE's deep expertise in life-critical applications and grounded the booth in the real-world impact of their technology.
Digital Anatomy Display
A striking backlit wall rendered in cyan and blue tones featuring a digital human skeletal system — an X-ray-style visualization symbolizing the connectivity running through medical devices and the human body alike. The luminous anatomical graphic served as both a design centerpiece and a conversation starter, drawing engineers into discussions about TE's interventional, imaging, and sensing capabilities.
Branded Reception Hub
A modern reception counter anchoring the booth's primary entry point, featuring a clean white countertop atop an architecturally detailed base with vertical black-and-white striped paneling and a warm orange LED strip running the full base perimeter. The counter displayed the TE Connectivity logo prominently and was flanked by bar-height stools — creating an inviting first point of contact where attendees could check in, ask questions, and be routed to the right product specialist or demo station.
Vertical Wooden Slat Screens
Natural wood-finish vertical slat walls strategically placed to create semi-private zones within the open island layout. The fin-style screens added warmth and organic texture against the booth's clean white and orange surfaces, while providing acoustic and visual separation for deeper technical conversations and private meetings without fully closing off the space from the show floor energy.
Service Portfolio Walls
Massive bright yellow graphic panels serving as a visual menu of TE's medical capabilities — listing core competencies including "Precision & Control," "Therapy Delivery & Actuation," and "Data, Sensing & Connectivity." The bold yellow panels created a warm glow at the booth's base and provided a quick-scan reference for attendees to identify exactly which product line or capability area was most relevant to their project needs.

Impact & Results
By the Numbers
Every Connection Counts — Made Tangible
MD&M West 2026 was TE Connectivity's opportunity to demonstrate why the world's most demanding medical device manufacturers trust their components inside life-critical devices. As part of IME West — uniting five industry sectors from MedTech to automation and packaging — the competition for attention was intense, with 1,700+ exhibitors spanning the Anaheim Convention Center.
The custom 20×30 island booth accomplished what product sheets and data alone cannot: it made TE's vast medical portfolio tangible. The digital anatomy wall drew engineers into conversations about catheter connectivity and interventional components. The service portfolio walls laid out the full breadth of capabilities — from precision sensing and surgical-grade connectors to high-speed data transmission — giving each visitor a clear on-ramp into the specific product line most relevant to their project.
The design struck a deliberate balance between clinical authority and approachability. Clean white surfaces and medical imagery conveyed technical rigor, while warm orange accents, natural wood textures, and inviting seating areas signaled that this was a space for collaboration — where engineers could sit down, discuss specifications, and explore how TE's components could solve their most complex design challenges from prototype through high-volume production.
