ASI Show Chicago Trade Show Booth Rentals

Distributors come here to write fourth-quarter orders. Your booth has two days to make the shortlist.

Fixed-price ASI Show Chicago exhibits — design, fabrication, graphics, freight, union labour coordination, installation and dismantle in one number that doesn’t move. Pre-built, lit and photo-approved before it ships, so the booth that greets thousands of promotional products distributors in Chicago has already stood up once, powered and checked, on our floor.

The kind of booth buyers pick up and turn over

ASI Chicago is a product show: the people in the aisles are distributors and decorators deciding which suppliers make their holiday catalogue, and they judge with their hands — texture, print quality, how the sample reads under booth light. The work below is what we build for brands whose product has to be touched: merchandising walls that present at eye level, sample counters with storage behind them, lighting that flatters a printed surface, with every project moving through one team from first rendering to dismantle.

Know the floor before you plan the booth

Two exhibit days. One building. No second chances.

ASI Chicago runs an education day and then just two days of exhibits inside McCormick Place’s West Building — the newest hall on the campus, tighter and more meeting-oriented than South’s giant floors. A compressed floor rewards the booth that is finished, stocked and staffed at the opening bell, and punishes anything still being unpacked on day one. The most expensive ASI mistake isn’t a bad booth; it’s a booth that used half its selling time getting ready.

The West Building

McCormick Place’s newest hall

West is a different animal from South or North: a single exhibit level under a ballroom-heavy building, with its own dock access and shorter hall runs. Sightlines are shorter, so eye-level merchandising outperforms height. Freight still enters through McCormick’s marshalling yard against a target date and is billed by the hundredweight, and union jurisdictions still govern the install — we plan both to West’s docks, not to a generic campus map.

A sell-in floor

Samples · catalogues · order writing

Distributors arrive with a fourth-quarter pipeline and leave with a supplier list. They want to handle samples, see decoration methods demonstrated and sit down to talk pricing — which means sample storage, working counters, a place to write and lighting that shows a printed surface honestly. We design the booth as a showroom that closes, not a backdrop that photographs.

The high-summer calendar

Advance deadline in early June

A late-July show puts the advance-order deadline in the first week of June, when your team is finalising the holiday catalogue and approvals slow into vacation season. Miss it and electrical, drayage and rigging move to floor rates for a show where you only get two days to earn them back. The real deadline for a locked design is early June.

What we handle at McCormick West
  • Merchandising-led design — sample walls, counters and lit product display planned for West’s shorter sightlines
  • Layout submission and show approval, filed early
  • Electrical, network, rigging and drayage orders calculated and filed at advance rates
  • Union labour coordination and on-site supervision across every trade’s jurisdiction
  • COI, EAC and exhibitor-manual deadlines mapped to our calendar
  • Marshalling-yard target date, West Building dock routing, fast dismantle and outbound freight
Billed by the show, not by us

Booth space, electrical, drayage, rigging and cleaning are billed to every exhibitor directly by the show, the venue or the show’s general contractor — no exhibit house can absorb them and none should claim to. What we do is calculate them for your exact booth before you commit, and file every order at advance rather than floor rates.

  • Booth space
  • Electrical drops and floor distribution
  • Material handling (drayage)
  • Rigging, if you’re hanging a sign
  • Daily cleaning · internet
Why a fixed price matters most here

The budget you present in spring should survive July

Trade show invoices have a habit of growing between quote and show: labour hours over estimate, revisions rebilled as change orders, graphics reprints, supervision time nobody flagged. Our model is the opposite — the number you approve is the number you pay, contractually. Design revisions are unlimited until you approve. The quote and the final invoice are the same document.

01

One number, and it holds

Design, fabrication, graphics, furniture, lighting, freight, installation, dismantle and project management in a single fixed price.

02

Proven before it ships

Your booth stands fully assembled and lit at our 65,000 sq ft facility, and you approve photographs of the actual build — not a render.

03

Show costs, known up front

Space, electrical, drayage and rigging calculated for your exact booth before you commit — so the total is a number, not a range.

04

The paperwork is ours

COI, EAC, electrical, network, rigging, freight windows — filed at advance rates, mapped to every exhibitor-manual deadline. Nothing lands on your desk three days before it’s due.

We quote higher and cost less. That’s the whole argument, and it’s why every booth below is published with its price rather than hidden behind a “request a quote” form.

Working backwards from July

Your real deadline is in early June

The advance-order cutoff lands roughly eight weeks before the show — the exact date is in the facts strip at the top of this page, and it updates automatically each edition. For a late-July show that puts the binding constraint in the first week of June, right as holiday-season catalogues close and summer schedules thin out the approval chain.

Take this to every vendor

Five questions to ask anyone quoting your ASI Show Chicago booth

Put these to every exhibit house you’re comparing — including us. They separate the vendors that stand behind a number from the ones whose estimate is an opening position. Our answers are printed here so you can hold us to them.

1 Will you put the total price in writing before I sign — and hold it? Ours: yes. Every booth on this page is published with its price. The quote and the final invoice are the same number, contractually. Printed above · hold us to it
2 Do design revisions become change orders? Ours: never. Revisions are unlimited until you approve, and the price is locked before design starts — a better idea in April costs nothing.
3 Will I see my actual booth before it ships — or a render? Ours: the actual booth, fully assembled, powered and lit at our facility, photographed for your sign-off before it leaves for Chicago. Renders are promises; photographs are evidence.
4 Who files my advance show orders, and at which rate? Ours: we do, at advance rates, mapped to every exhibitor-manual deadline. With lit sample walls, decoration demos and screens running across two short days, the advance-versus-floor spread at ASI Chicago is real money — if a vendor can’t answer this immediately, that’s your answer.
5 We only get two exhibit days. What if the booth isn’t ready on the first morning? Ours: it will be — because the booth was fully assembled, lit and photographed on our floor before it shipped, and the union crew is re-assembling a known quantity, not improvising. Install finishes with margin the day before the floor opens. Any vendor whose plan has you unpacking samples at nine on day one is spending your selling time. Ask them directly.

Questions ASI Show Chicago exhibitors actually ask

ASI Show Chicago booth rental FAQs

How much does an ASI Show Chicago booth rental cost?
Every booth on this page is published with its Chicago price — fixed and all-inclusive: design, fabrication, graphics, furniture, freight, union labour coordination and project management. Separately, the show, McCormick Place and the show’s general contractor bill you directly for booth space, electrical, drayage, rigging and cleaning; we calculate those for your exact booth before you commit, so the total is known before you sign anything.
When should I book a booth for ASI Show Chicago?
Lock your design by the first week of June. Advance-order deadlines for a late-July show land at the start of vacation season — start the conversation in the first quarter for full design freedom, ideally alongside your holiday catalogue planning. The exact advance-order deadline for the next edition is in the facts strip at the top of this page and updates automatically.
What’s move-in like at McCormick Place West for ASI?
Freight enters through McCormick’s marshalling yard against an assigned target date and is routed to the West Building’s own docks; drayage is billed per hundredweight and union crews handle the install. With only two exhibit days, we schedule the install to finish with margin the day before, book the target date early and put an install supervisor on site so your team spends day one selling, not unpacking.
Our booth is built around product samples and live decoration demos. Can you handle the display, storage and power?
Yes, and it’s the most important planning conversation for an ASI booth. We design the merchandising walls, sample counters and lockable storage into the structure, light the product so printed surfaces read honestly, then calculate the electrical orders any heat-press or engraving demo actually needs. Those services are billed to you directly by the show and venue, but we file them at advance rates and verify everything against the booth as built on our floor.
Will a rental look custom, or will it look reused?
Every booth is fabricated for your brand — custom graphics, layout, lighting and finishes on a modular structure underneath. The builds shown above are rentals. Before yours ships, it stands fully assembled and lit at our facility and you approve photographs of the actual booth, not a render.
Can I install the booth myself to save on labour?
Not at McCormick Place. Union jurisdictions govern who may build, wire and rig what, and the show’s general contractor enforces them — an exhibitor-installed booth is limited to small pop-up structures with no tools. It isn’t your problem to arrange either way: union labour coordination and on-site supervision are inside our fixed price, filed at advance rather than floor rates.
What happens if something goes wrong during move-in?
Your project manager and our install supervisor are on site through move-in and reachable across show days. Because everything was assembled and checked before shipping, the problems that usually surface at this stage — missing hardware, graphics that don’t fit, panels that won’t seat — have already been found and fixed on our floor, weeks earlier.
A vendor just fell through. How fast can you deliver an ASI Chicago booth?
Four to six weeks from approval to show floor for complete pre-built, photo-verified booths from 10×10 through 20×40 — at the same fixed price as a six-month lead time, with no rush surcharge. For a late-July show, the earlier in summer you call, the more of that window sits at advance rather than floor rates.
Do you handle events off the show floor — suites, receptions, satellite activations?
Yes — hotel suites, meeting spaces and satellite activations around McCormick Place and downtown Chicago run under the same fixed-price model, coordinated by the same project manager as your booth.
