Appdome · Black Hat USA 2024
Cybersecurity dresses in fortress black. Appdome showed up in four colors.
Black Hat’s Business Hall is a sea of dark, militarized booths from billion-dollar vendors. For 2024, Pure Exhibits built Appdome a 30 × 30 island at Booth #1200 in the Mandalay Bay Convention Center that ran the opposite play: a suspended constellation of purple, turquoise, lime, and coral cubes overhead, MOBILE LINK self-guided demo kiosks below, and a social-proof wall carrying 200+ enterprise brands — the most colorful destination in front of 21,700 attendees.
Standing out in a sea of black
Black Hat USA is cybersecurity’s premier event, and its Business Hall belongs to giants — CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, SentinelOne — commanding massive footprints in the dark, fortress aesthetic of “wartime” security marketing. Appdome, privately held and competing against tens-of-billions market caps, had 900 square feet at Booth #1200 to cut through that visual noise without surrendering technical authority.
The booth also had to serve two very different buyers at once: the mobile developer who judges platforms hands-on — demos, CI/CD integration — and the CISO who needs proof that AI-native automation can replace dozens of point products. Self-guided kiosks, private consultation zones, visible social proof, and overhead signage readable across the Business Hall, all in one 30 × 30.
“Appdome is the only platform that combines 400+ Android & iOS defenses into one unified, enterprise-grade solution — eliminating point products and automating the work out of mobile cyber defense.”Appdome — Mobile Cyber Defense Automation
Color as counter-strategy
The Cube Constellation
Interlocked cubes in purple, turquoise, lime, coral, and white, suspended above the hall and spelling out “appdome” with the shield logo. On a floor where overhead signage means flat black panels, a three-dimensional color sculpture was visible from hundreds of feet — each cube a discrete defense layer, interlocked into one system. Wayfinding as brand argument.
The Open Perimeter
Five interaction zones with 360° access from all four aisles — kiosks, consultation counters, awards wall, brand panel, open flow. A SOC analyst deep in Threat-Events™ detection and a developer exploring AppFusion CI/CD integration worked ten feet apart without crossing paths.
The Awards Wall
Certification badges, partner logos, and recognition from 200+ enterprise brands — financial institutions and government agencies included — arranged in a color-blocked grid. It answered the security buyer’s first question, “who else uses this?”, before anyone had to ask it.
The MOBILE LINK Kiosks
Self-guided digital stations running the Cyber Defense Automation platform — Threat-Events™ real-time intelligence, ThreatScope™ Mobile XDR, and the patented no-code workflow that adds 400+ Android and iOS defenses without a line of code. Developers explored at their own depth; the sales team met them already convinced.
The Wood-and-White Register
Bar-height consultation counters, natural wood stools, warm wood flooring, white kiosk frames — deliberately human materials against the fortress black next door. The message read instantly: enterprise security that’s accessible, not intimidating.
The Brand Panel
“DevOps Love Appdome” at the booth’s center — a claim about the platform’s constituency, stated in the constituency’s own voice. On a floor built on fear, the booth built on affection, and the traffic suggested the bet paid.

The build at a glance
Confidence, not fear
The constellation did the finding, the kiosks did the convincing, and the counters did the closing. Against neighbors selling wartime posture, Appdome’s color-and-wood register made a sharper claim than any threat map: complex defense, simplified delivery — a platform confident enough not to shout. The awards wall settled the credibility question at a glance, and the self-guided demos let a technical audience validate the no-code promise on their own terms.
The bet on standing apart carried forward: Appdome kept building with Pure Exhibits. For the same client on the RSA floor two years later, see Appdome at RSA 2026.

Zig where the floor zags
When every competitor buys the same aesthetic, matching it is the most expensive mistake on the floor. Pure Exhibits designs and builds custom booths from 10 × 10 inlines to large islands for security and technology brands at Black Hat, RSA, ISC West and beyond, with fixed, transparent pricing.
