Case Study

Base · Shoptalk Spring 2026

Every marketplace a merchant sells on, hung in a ring over one booth.

Base connects online sellers to the channels they sell through — Shopify, Amazon, eBay, Walmart, FedEx and hundreds more. For its second Shoptalk with Pure Exhibits the 20 × 30 island put that idea in the ceiling: a blue circular hanging sign ringed with the marketplaces’ logos, reading “E-commerce operating tool.” Below it, a backlit feature tower, six demo counters on blue carpet, a stats tower with the numbers, and a lounge for the conversation after the demo.

Show the connections, not the software

Base is an operating layer: orders, inventory, shipping and listings across every channel a merchant uses, in one place. The product is a dashboard, and dashboards do not draw a crowd at Shoptalk. What does draw one is recognition — a Shopify merchant seeing the Shopify logo next to Amazon, Walmart, eBay and FedEx, and understanding in a second that this is the tool that sits between them.

Last year’s 20 × 30 gave the browser-tab product a doorway: a navy arch, an ivy-draped wood partition, frosted meeting rooms. This year the brief was more direct: lead with the integrations, put the proof in numbers, and make the demo — not the architecture — the reason to step in. Six demo counters instead of two meeting rooms. The same footprint, a different bet.

The Ring

A circular fabric hanging sign in Base blue, its outer band carrying the marketplace and carrier logos — Walmart, FedEx, Shopify, eBay, Amazon, Samsung — and the inner face reading “E-commerce operating tool.” A circle reads from every aisle without a “front,” and the logos do the explaining: whatever you sell on, it is up there.

02

The Feature Tower

A white backlit tower at the corner names the three ways merchants use Base — Dropshipping, Wholesale, Resell — with the partners under each. It is the booth’s table of contents, tall enough to be read over the ring’s shadow and lit so the type holds up under hall lighting. The 75-inch screen sits in its face for the product film.

03

The Numbers

A second tower carries the proof in two lines: 30,000+ brands, 17 billion USD+ in GMV. The same two figures anchored Base’s Prosper 2026 booth a month earlier; here they stand at the aisle where a walking attendee reads them before the demo staff say a word.

Six Demo Counters

Wood-fronted counters, each with a 43-inch screen and a “See how it works” header, arranged so no two demos face each other. On a 20 × 30 that is the most demos Base could run at once without the booth turning into a call centre; the blue carpet and 1-inch padding under it are what let the staff stand at them for three days.

05

The Blue Wall

Behind the white reception counter, a backlit blue graphic wall lists the platform’s features beside a monitor, with the retailer logo wall running alongside. It is the one large printed surface in the booth and it is placed where the reception conversation happens, so a rep can point at the list rather than recite it.

06

Swag Wall and Lounge

Two sofas and a coffee table on the open side, a bar counter with six stools, and a swag wall for the people who came for the tote. The lounge is where a demo becomes a meeting; the swag wall is where the badge scan happens. Both are on the side of the island that faces the main cross-aisle, so they are also the booth’s traffic.

Two Shoptalks, two answers

Base’s 2025 island made a software product physical with architecture — an arch, a partition, glass rooms. The 2026 island made it physical with its ecosystem: the logos overhead, the numbers on the tower, the demo at the counter. Same 600 square feet, same fixed all-inclusive price covering design, fabrication, graphics, furniture, screens, freight, install and dismantle — and the booth was pre-built in the shop before it shipped to Las Vegas.

Lead with the ecosystem. Build the island that hangs it overhead.

When the product is a platform, the booth should show what it connects to. Pure Exhibits designs, fabricates and installs 20 × 20 to 20 × 30 and larger custom islands for ecommerce and retail-tech brands at Shoptalk, Groceryshop, Prosper and shows nationwide — hanging signs, backlit towers, demo counters, screens and flooring included, on one fixed, transparent price.
