SHOW SERVICES · BOOTH CLEANING · VACUUMING
The show cleans the aisles — nobody cleans your booth unless you order it. After two days of forklifts, crate dust, and construction, every booth opens day one dirty by default, and the fix is a per-square-foot line on the cleaning order form. It’s the smallest of the show-site costs — and the one most exhibitors discover standing in it.
THE SEQUENCE
The simplest service on the invoice — four decisions on one order form:
Show management cleans aisles and common areas. Inside your booth line — your carpet, your counters, your trash — is your responsibility, ordered from the show’s cleaning contractor via the exhibitor manual.
Move-in is construction: crate dust, packing debris, and forklift traffic end at your carpet. A pre-opening vacuum is the minimum order — it’s the difference between opening on clean carpet and opening on a job site.
Vacuuming is priced per square foot, per service. One clean before opening, or nightly through the show — high-traffic booths with food, demos, or giveaways usually justify daily; a quiet 10×10 may not.
Porter service is periodic trash removal during show hours — emptying bins, clearing cups and wrappers. If you’re sampling, catering, or running heavy giveaways, the bin fills faster than you think.
TEN-SECOND MATH
Four hundred square feet, vacuumed before opening and nightly through the run:
EXAMPLE ORDER · ADVANCE RATE
Example figures for illustration — cleaning rates are published per show by the cleaning contractor, billed on your full booth square footage regardless of how much is carpeted. Floor-rate orders run higher.
WHERE BUDGETS GO SIDEWAYS
Small dollars, outsized day-one consequences:
No. The most common cleaning mistake is assuming it’s included — in the booth space, in the drayage, in anything. It isn’t. Unordered booths open exactly as move-in left them: dusty.
Move-in construction ends hours before doors open — that’s when your carpet is at its worst. If you only buy one service, it’s the pre-opening vacuum, and it has to be on the order before move-in ends.
Cleaning is billed on your booth’s full dimensions — a 20×20 is 400 sq ft on the form even if half of it is flooring you brought, counters, or demo equipment. Budget on the footprint, not the visible carpet.
WHERE WE COME IN
It’s a checklist item — so it lives on our checklist, not in your surprise column.
The cleaning order deadline sits in your project schedule next to electrical and drayage — ordered at the advance rate, never scrambled on site.
We order on your booth’s real dimensions and recommend the service level your traffic actually justifies — daily for high-traffic demo booths, day-one for the rest.
Every Pure Exhibits install closes with a clean handover — and the pre-opening vacuum on the order — so the booth your prospects see is the booth we photographed at pre-build.
Cleaning appears in your quote’s show-services estimate with the other four costs — small, visible, and already counted.
STILL WONDERING
No. Show management cleans aisles and common areas only. Everything inside your booth line is ordered separately from the show’s cleaning contractor — it’s not part of your space cost, your drayage, or any exhibit house’s booth contract, including ours.
It’s priced per square foot per service, billed on your booth’s full dimensions. As a labeled example, a 20×20 (400 sq ft) at $0.55/sq ft runs $220 per vacuuming — about $660 for a pre-opening clean plus two nightly services at a three-day show. Every show’s contractor publishes its own rates.
You need the day-one vacuum — every booth does, because move-in leaves construction dust on every carpet regardless of size. Daily service beyond that is a traffic call: food, sampling, and heavy giveaways justify it; a low-traffic 10×10 often doesn’t.
Periodic trash removal during show hours — a porter empties your bins and clears debris on a schedule so your staff isn’t hauling trash through the aisles mid-show. If you generate meaningful waste (catering, samples, packaging), it’s worth its line.
By the cleaning contractor’s advance deadline in the exhibitor manual — like every show service, the same order costs more at the floor rate, and the pre-opening vacuum needs to be booked before move-in ends to happen at all.
THE REST OF THE INVOICE
NO SURPRISE INVOICES
Your quote’s show-services estimate covers all five outside costs — cleaning included — with every deadline on the schedule and nothing left to discover on the floor.
