Light + Intelligent Building Trade Show Booth Rentals

Lighting designers notice a badly lit booth before they read the name on it.

Fixed-price exhibits for Light + Intelligent Building North America, the show that carries LightFair forward — design, fabrication, graphics, freight, installation and dismantle in one number that doesn’t move. Pre-built, lit and photo-approved before it ships, so the booth that meets the lighting and building-technology community in Las Vegas has already stood up once, powered and checked, on our floor.

The kind of booth a specifier studies

This floor is walked by lighting designers, electrical engineers, architects and integrators — people who evaluate colour quality, glare and control behaviour for a living. For them the booth is not packaging; it is the first application of your product they see. The work below is what we build for engineering-led companies: structures that control the light around the product, carry real electrical load cleanly, and give a specifier somewhere to sit with a spec sheet, with one team accountable from first rendering to dismantle.

Know the floor before you plan the booth

On a lighting floor, the hall lights are your competitor

A luminaire shown under convention-hall lighting is a luminaire nobody can evaluate. The defining problem of this show has always been controlling ambient light inside an open booth — and now the show itself has changed, widening from LightFair’s lighting focus to controls, integration and building technology. Both facts shape the design long before graphics do.

LVCC — bright halls, high ceilings

Ambient light · rigging

The Las Vegas Convention Center’s halls are tall and evenly lit, which is exactly wrong for demonstrating optics, colour rendering or dimming curves. Canopies, enclosed demonstration rooms and darker interior finishes let your product set the light level rather than the building. Anything overhead is rigged by the venue’s exclusive provider and ordered in advance, so the ceiling plan is part of the first concept, not an afterthought.

Every product is a live load

Luminaires · drivers · control systems

Unlike most shows, nearly everything on display here draws power, and much of it needs control wiring, gateways and a network to show what it does. That means a properly calculated electrical order, distribution hidden inside the structure, and drivers positioned where they can be reached when one fails mid-show. We build the electrical plan with your product list and test the whole booth energised on our floor before it ships.

The March calendar

Deadlines land over the holidays

A mid-March show puts the advance-order cutoff in mid-January, which means the design has to be approved on either side of the holiday break — and product samples for the booth often arrive from overseas factories ahead of Lunar New Year shutdowns. Teams that treat January as the start of planning find the advance window already closing.

What we handle at LVCC
  • Ambient-light control — canopies, enclosed demo rooms and finishes planned around your product
  • Layout submission and show approval, filed early
  • Electrical load calculated from your product list, with rigging and material handling filed at advance rates
  • Driver, control and low-voltage wiring routed and accessible inside the structure
  • Union labour coordination and on-site supervision
  • COI, EAC and exhibitor-manual deadlines mapped to our calendar
  • Dismantle, pack and outbound freight
Billed by the show, not by us

Booth space, electrical, drayage, rigging and cleaning are billed to every exhibitor directly by the show, the venue or the show’s general contractor — no exhibit house can absorb them and none should claim to. What we do is calculate them for your exact booth before you commit, and file every order at advance rather than floor rates.

  • Booth space
  • Electrical drops and floor distribution
  • Material handling (drayage)
  • Rigging, if you’re hanging a sign

Why a fixed price matters most here

The budget you present in autumn should survive March

Trade show invoices have a habit of growing between quote and show: labour hours over estimate, revisions rebilled as change orders, graphics reprints, supervision time nobody flagged. Our model is the opposite — the number you approve is the number you pay, contractually. Design revisions are unlimited until you approve. The quote and the final invoice are the same document.

01

One number, and it holds

Design, fabrication, graphics, furniture, lighting, freight, installation, dismantle and project management in a single fixed price.

02

Proven before it ships

Your booth stands fully assembled and lit at our 65,000 sq ft facility, and you approve photographs of the actual build — not a render.

03

Show costs, known up front

Space, electrical, drayage and rigging calculated for your exact booth before you commit — so the total is a number, not a range.

04

The paperwork is ours

COI, EAC, electrical, network, rigging, freight windows — filed at advance rates, mapped to every exhibitor-manual deadline. Nothing lands on your desk three days before it’s due.

We quote higher and cost less. That’s the whole argument, and it’s why every booth below is published with its price rather than hidden behind a “request a quote” form.

Working backwards from March

Your real deadline is in mid-January

The advance-order cutoff lands roughly eight weeks before the show — the exact date is in the facts strip at the top of this page, and it updates automatically each edition. For a mid-March show that puts the binding constraint in mid-January, with the holiday break sitting squarely inside the approval period and sample shipments competing with factory shutdowns.

Take this to every vendor

Five questions to ask anyone quoting your Light + Intelligent Building booth

Put these to every exhibit house you’re comparing — including us. They separate the vendors that stand behind a number from the ones whose estimate is an opening position. Our answers are printed here so you can hold us to them.

1 Will you put the total price in writing before I sign — and hold it? Ours: yes. Every booth on this page is published with its price. The quote and the final invoice are the same number, contractually. Printed above · hold us to it
2 Do design revisions become change orders? Ours: never. Revisions are unlimited until you approve, and the price is locked before design starts — a better idea in November costs nothing.
3 Will I see my actual booth before it ships — or a render? Ours: the actual booth, fully assembled, powered and lit at our facility, photographed for your sign-off before it leaves for Las Vegas. Renders are promises; photographs are evidence.
4 Who files my advance show orders, and at which rate? Ours: we do, at advance rates, mapped to every exhibitor-manual deadline. On a floor where every product is a live load, electrical is the largest show-billed line most exhibitors carry, and the advance-versus-floor spread on it is real money — if a vendor can’t answer this immediately, that’s your answer.
5 How will you control the hall’s ambient light inside my booth? Ours: with structure — canopy, enclosure and finish choices made in the first concept — because on this floor a product shown under hall lighting can’t be evaluated at all. A vendor who answers with brighter graphics hasn’t exhibited to lighting designers. Ask them directly.

Questions Light + Intelligent Building exhibitors actually ask

Light + Intelligent Building booth rental FAQs

How much does a Light + Intelligent Building booth rental cost?
Every booth on this page is published with its Las Vegas price — fixed and all-inclusive: design, fabrication, graphics, furniture, freight, labour coordination and project management. Separately, the show, the venue and the show’s general contractor bill you directly for booth space, electrical, drayage, rigging and cleaning; we calculate those for your exact booth and product load before you commit, so the total is known before you sign anything.
Is this the same show as LightFair?
It is LightFair’s successor. The same three organisations behind LightFair — Messe Frankfurt, the Illuminating Engineering Society and the International Association of Lighting Designers — now produce Light + Intelligent Building North America, which keeps the lighting core and adds controls, integration and building technology. If you exhibited at LightFair, this is where that audience now gathers.
When should I book a booth for this show?
Lock your design by mid-January. The advance-order deadlines for a March show fall right after the holiday break, so the approvals need to happen before it — start the conversation in late summer for full design freedom. The exact advance-order deadline for the next edition is in the facts strip at the top of this page and updates automatically.
How do you keep the hall lighting from washing out our product?
By designing the darkness in. Canopies and ceilings, enclosed or semi-enclosed demonstration rooms, and low-reflectance interior finishes let your luminaires set the light level. Overhead elements are rigged by the venue’s provider and billed to you directly, so we settle the ceiling plan early and file it at advance rates.
Every product in our booth is powered and controlled. Can you handle that?
Yes, and it’s the most important planning conversation for this show. We build the electrical plan from your product list — loads, circuits, driver locations, control and low-voltage runs — hide the distribution inside the structure and keep drivers reachable. The venue bills power to you directly; we file the order at advance rates and test the whole booth energised on our floor.
Will a rental look custom, or will it look reused?
Every booth is fabricated for your brand — custom graphics, layout, lighting and finishes on a modular structure underneath. The builds shown above are rentals. Before yours ships, it stands fully assembled and lit at our facility and you approve photographs of the actual booth, not a render.
Can I install the booth myself to save on labour?
The Las Vegas Convention Center floor runs on contracted union labour, and the show’s general contractor governs who may build what — including who connects power. Either way it isn’t your problem to arrange: labour coordination and on-site supervision are inside our fixed price, filed at advance rather than floor rates.
A vendor just fell through. How fast can you deliver a booth?
Four to six weeks from approval to show floor for complete pre-built, photo-verified booths from 10×10 through 20×40 — at the same fixed price as a six-month lead time, with no rush surcharge. For a March show, the earlier in the winter you call, the more of that window sits at advance rather than floor rates.
Do you handle specifier events off the show floor?
Yes — hotel suites, hosted dinners and specifier receptions around Las Vegas run under the same fixed-price model, coordinated by the same project manager as your booth.
