Case Study

M.C. Dean · ISC West 2025

The No. 5 systems integrator had never had a booth. Its first one launched a platform.

For years, M.C. Dean’s ISC West presence was podiums, panels, and customer events. For 2025, Pure Exhibits built the company’s first-ever exhibit hall booth — a custom 20 × 30 at Booth #31053 in The Venetian Expo, built around a four-pillar kiosk hub, an executive meeting enclosure, and the launch of the Managed Services platform that went on to win the SIA New Products & Solutions Award at the show.

First booth, full ecosystem

ISC West is North America’s largest security show — 30,000+ practitioners, operators, integrators, and OEMs across four days at The Venetian Expo. M.C. Dean arrived as a 9,000-person company ranked No. 5 on SDM’s Top Systems Integrators report, with decades of cyber-physical work in the nation’s most mission-critical facilities — and no exhibit-hall track record at all.

A first booth carries a double brief. It had to make four operational pillars — Distributed Systems, Scalable Systems, Complex Operations, Enterprise Security Delivery — individually demonstrable, and it had to serve as the launchpad for the brand-new Managed Services platform, to an audience that knew the name mostly from conference rooms.

“This was our most expansive presence to date — we launched our managed services offering, hosted live demonstrations in our first-ever exhibit hall booth at ISC, presented panels and technical sessions, hosted customer engagement events, and received an industry award acknowledging our great people.”

Four pillars, one hub

01

The Four-Pillar Kiosk Hub

A multi-sided central structure, one face per pillar — Distributed Systems, Scalable Systems, Complex Operations, Enterprise Security Delivery — each with its own widescreen monitor, line-art iconography, and interaction counter. Attendees approached from any aisle and landed directly on the capability they came for, no routing through unrelated content.

02

The Identity Wall

One panel anchored the narrative: “Leader in Cyber-Physical Solutions — redefining the way complex, distributed, large-scale systems are designed, delivered, and sustained.” Four kiosks made the specific cases; this wall made sure they added up to one company.

03

The Blue LED Line

Continuous blue LED strips at the base of every kiosk, glowing onto the polished floor. It set the cyber register, marked exactly where M.C. Dean’s space began — and worked as wayfinding, visible from several aisles out.

04

The Meeting Enclosure

A room within the room — thick blue pillars under a lime-green branded canopy, frosted privacy panels, warm wood-style flooring, Eames-style chairs, even a potted plant. The customer engagement events ran here all four days, in a register deliberately calmer than the kiosks ten feet away.

05

The Live Demo Screens

Every kiosk face ran real software — cloud-managed security dashboards, network visualizations, the newly launched Enterprise Security SaaS. The screens were the engagement mechanism: a live walkthrough with an engineer instead of a slide deck with a salesperson.

The Gradient Sign

A square overhead sign carrying the “Building Intelligence” mark on a blue-to-lime-green gradient — a color signature on a floor of monochrome signage. Against the dark convention ceiling it read from multiple aisles, doing the landmark work a first-time exhibitor needs most.

Building Intelligence, live

A message delivered from podiums for years finally got physical form. The four-pillar hub respected how M.C. Dean’s audience actually splits — a security operations director went deep on Complex Operations while a facilities manager ran the Scalable Systems demo one face away — and the identity wall made sure every conversation resolved to one company. The Managed Services launch carried the show narrative: demonstrated live on the kiosk screens, covered in industry press, and awarded the SIA NPS at the event itself.

With the enclosure hosting customer events across all four days, the 20 × 30 delivered what Julaine Simmons called the company’s most expansive presence to date. For another Pure Exhibits build on the same ISC West floor, see Alibi Security at ISC West.

First impressions, engineered

A first booth carries more weight than a fifth one — it sets how the whole floor reads the company from now on. Pure Exhibits designs and builds custom booths from 10 × 10 inlines to large islands for security and technology brands making their debut or their statement at ISC West, GSX, RSA and beyond, with fixed, transparent pricing.
