Case Study

Socure · Fintech Meetup 2026

Fifty thousand meetings on the schedule. Socure built a booth for the ones that walk in.

Fintech Meetup is run on a meetings program, not a show floor, so a 20 × 30 island there has one job: hold conversations. Socure’s did it with a white arched portal edged in red LED, two meeting counters facing the aisle, a lounge behind slatted walls, and a wood-slat canopy over a meeting table — sixteen seats in six hundred square feet, with a kiosk playing the brand film to whoever was still deciding.

A show where the meeting is the product

Fintech Meetup is not built like other shows. Attendees arrive with a calendar of pre-booked, double-opted-in meetings — the organiser counts them in the tens of thousands — and the exhibit hall is where those meetings happen. A booth that is only a billboard wastes the footprint. A booth with nowhere to sit loses the meeting to a hotel lobby.

Socure sells identity verification and fraud prevention to banks, credit unions and fintechs. The buyer is a risk or product leader, the conversation is technical, and it takes twenty minutes with a screen. The brief for the 20 × 30 was to make every one of those minutes comfortable: open enough that a walk-up feels invited, closed enough that a scheduled meeting is not overheard, and lit so the booth reads as Socure from across the hall without a wall of copy.

The Red-Edged Portal

The front of the booth is a white structure with arched openings, and every arch is traced in red LED. From the aisle the light does the branding: Socure’s red on a white frame, visible over the crowd, with the wordmark on the header above. Inside the arches the light turns into a cove along the ceiling, so the meeting counters beneath sit in a warm, even glow rather than under hall fluorescents.

02

Twin Meeting Counters

Two demo counters, each with a 43-inch screen and stools on both sides, face the aisle directly under the portal. They are the walk-up layer: a rep can show the platform standing up, and a prospect can sit without committing to a meeting. Eleven bar stools across the counters and the bar table mean nobody has to hover.

03

Slatted Walls

The side and back walls are white horizontal slats with glass behind them. They let light and a sense of the crowd through, but not a clear line of sight — the lounge and meeting room read as part of the booth from outside and as private from inside. The “Identity Intelligence for Frictionless Growth” header runs above them on the right side; socure.com on the back.

The Canopy Room

Behind the portal, a wood-slat canopy drops the ceiling over a meeting table for six, with a single pendant hung from its centre. On a 30-foot island the temptation is a closed office; the canopy does the same job without the walls. Sound stays under it, the light is warmer than the hall, and the scheduled meetings from the Fintech Meetup app had a table with a number on it.

05

The Lounge

Four velvet armchairs, a coffee table, a side table and a wall-mounted screen behind the slats: the third layer, for the conversations that outgrow the counter. It is deliberately the softest corner of the booth — the only upholstery, the only low seating — so it signals a different kind of conversation without a sign saying so.

Four Sides, One Language

An island is read from every aisle, and this one says the same thing from each: white frame, red light, wood and slats. The back elevation carries the URL header over the lounge; the sides carry the tagline over the meeting room. No side is the “back of house” — storage sits inside the structure, and the vertical graphic tower on the left corner gives the far aisle a Socure mark of its own.

Built for the calendar

Most booths are designed for foot traffic and then have seating added. Socure’s was designed from the meeting outward: how many conversations, of what length, at what level of privacy — and the structure grew around the answer. Reception counter, demo counters, meeting tables, lounge, planters, five screens, custom graphics, padded vinyl floor, freight, install and dismantle, all on one fixed all-inclusive price, and pre-built in the shop before it shipped to Mandalay Bay.

If the show runs on meetings, build the booth around them.

Counters for walk-ups, a table for the calendar, a lounge for the conversation that runs long. Pure Exhibits designs, fabricates and installs 20 × 20 to 20 × 30 and larger custom islands for fintech and financial-services brands at Fintech Meetup, Money20/20 and shows nationwide — meeting space, screens, lighting and flooring included, on one fixed, transparent price.
