Exhibition Stand Builder in Austin

The activation city. The rules are different here.

Custom exhibition stands and brand activations for SXSW and Austin’s show calendar — fabricated in the US and delivered on one fixed USD price signed before work starts. No ocean freight, no carnets, no US entity required. In a city where the venue might be a hall, a hotel or a whole street, the fixed number matters more, not less.

Our work

Builds that work wherever Austin puts them

Austin’s calendar runs on more venue types than any city we serve — convention floors, hotel takeovers, standalone activation spaces — and international brands arrive here to be seen by tech, media and culture at once. Everything below came out of our own shop: designed, fabricated, printed and wired by one team, then stood up complete and photographed before shipping. What you approve from abroad is what lands on the floor.

Also built for Genea, Dunnhumby, Chili Piper, LHH, Calm and Spekit.

The international decision

An activation has no crate. Neither should its structure.

Brands fly to Austin to make a cultural impression — a SXSW activation, a launch moment, a takeover — and the impression is made by design and content, not by imported walls. Shipping structure across an ocean for a build that may live in a hotel suite or a converted storefront adds customs, crates and weight-billed handling to a project that was never hall-shaped to begin with.

Build on this side. Your design language carries over from photos or CAD, the structure gets fabricated to US materials and electrical code, and the venue — whatever kind Austin hands you — gets handled by people who work all of them.

01

Nothing crosses a border

No carnets, no brokerage, no duty questions, no crate in clearance while your show opens. Fabricated, trucked and installed inside one country, on one fixed number.

02

US electrical from the start

Overseas components routinely fail US floor inspection — voltage, plugs, certification marks. Everything we wire is US code from the first cable.

03

Your design, translated

Existing stand drawings become a Austin build: imperial dimensions, your show’s height and rigging rules, forced changes flagged at render stage.

04

Venue-flexible by design

Halls, ballrooms, storefronts and temporary structures each carry different rules. We build to the venue on your contract — and re-engineer fast when Austin changes it.

The US show floor, translated

Three terms that decide an Austin budget

Exhibitors arriving from Europe, Asia or Latin America meet a show-floor system here that has no equivalent at home. The full six-term glossary lives on our Las Vegas exhibition stand page; these are the three that bite hardest here.

Drayage

No equivalent outside North America

The venue’s fee for moving freight from dock to stand space, billed by weight. Unavoidable for everyone, forecastable for anyone honest — we price the line against your actual stand before you commit and file at advance rates.

Show labour

≈ Appointed contractors, per show rules

What exhibitors may build themselves on a Texas floor is set by each show’s regulations, and a custom island is crew-built work under any of them. Our fixed price carries the crews and supervision, so there’s nothing for you to source.

Feet, not metres

Your 3×6 m is their 10×20

US floor plans sell in feet, and space contracts follow. The pricing table below carries both units — quote your space in whichever your contract uses.

Austin pricing

The numbers, in USD, in the open

Fixed and all-inclusive for custom exhibition stands in Austin, invoiced in USD to your home-country entity — international wire or card, no US bank account or address required. Activation builds outside standard footprints are quoted the same way — one fixed figure, everything included. Print these, convert them at today’s rate, and take them into your budget meeting.

The ocean invoice

Even a small build’s crossing costs a small build

Activation structures are lighter than trade-show islands, and the crossing still doesn’t pay: crating, two freight legs, customs, handling on the loaded weight, and US crews decoding a metric kit against a festival deadline. A 3×6 m build, both ways:

Flying your build to Austin
Refurbishment & export crating$2,400
Ocean freight, both directions, insured+ $6,300
Customs brokerage / ATA carnet+ $2,000
Drayage on the full crated weight+ $3,100
US crews assembling an unfamiliar metric kit+ $4,600
Electrical rework to pass US inspection+ $1,700
Spent on logistics, not the build$20,100
Plus transit damage risk you still own
Pure Exhibits, built in the US
3×6 m (10×20) custom stand, fixed$20,000
Ocean freight & customsNone exist
Domestic round-trip freightIncluded
Install & dismantle crewsIncluded
US-code electricalBuilt in
Spent on the stand itself$20,000
Photo-verified before it ships

On the venue’s invoice in both scenarios: space, electrical service, drayage, rigging, cleaning, internet — the show’s own tariffed charges, billed to every exhibitor whoever builds. The difference is the weight the drayage gets billed on, and which side of the comparison forecast those lines before you signed.

The crossing costs the build. Spend it on the moment instead — the content, the finish, the thing people photograph.

Convention district · Activation venues citywide

One city, every kind of venue

Austin’s exhibiting map is in motion: the downtown convention centre is amid a multi-year redevelopment, and the city’s flagship weeks have long spilled beyond any single building anyway — into hotels, event centres and temporary venues across downtown. That makes the venue line on your contract the most important fact in the project, and it’s the first thing we confirm.

Convention district

Trade shows · conference expos

The downtown core’s exhibit spaces, currently reshaped by the convention centre’s redevelopment — which shifts shows between interim venues year to year. We confirm your show’s actual building before anything books. VERIFY current status.

Hotel & event-centre venues

SXSW programmes · corporate summits

Ballroom and event-centre builds run on freight lifts, padded corridors and overnight windows — a different discipline from a hall, covered by the same fixed price.

Activation spaces

Storefronts · lots · temporary structures

Festival-week Austin turns unconventional spaces into venues, each with its own permits, power and access questions. Specialised territory, and part of the same fixed-price coverage.

What we run for you here
  • Venue and hall confirmation from your contract before anything books
  • Floor plan filings and venue approvals
  • Dock target times scheduled to the right building
  • Electrical, rigging and drayage ordered at advance rates
  • COI and contractor paperwork per venue
  • Supervised install, show-day support, dismantle
Worth knowing before you plan

During festival weeks, freight windows, street access and hotel blocks tighten citywide at once. The plan that survives is the one filed early — which is most of what you’re buying from us that week.

The SXSW brief

Not a booth. A moment with a build schedule.

International brands come to SXSW to enter American culture, not an exhibit hall — and the format follows: activation houses, demo lounges, branded venues that run programming for a week. The structure is scenography with a permit file, and it has to photograph well, run reliably and come down on schedule.

Our part: fabrication to activation finish, power and AV engineered for continuous programming, the permit and venue paperwork run to Austin’s rules, and one fixed USD number for a build category that’s notorious for budget drift.

01

Built to be photographed

Camera-composed fronts and finish that survives close-ups — at SXSW, every attendee is a distribution channel.

02

Runs all week

Power, AV and network engineered for continuous programming, with the redundancy a seven-day activation actually needs.

03

One fixed number

Activation budgets drift by design-change; ours don’t. The figure you sign is the figure you pay, changes priced before they’re made.

Your US calendar runs past Austin? Dallas, Houston, San Antonio and fifty more cities run on the same published fixed model — one design language, one project manager, every city’s price known before your show year starts.

Austin show calendar

When to start, by show

Austin’s calendar concentrates around one global week and a rotation that changes with the convention district itself — name your show and we’ll confirm venue and dates before we quote.

Verify months annually · rotating meetings not listed

SXSW gets six months — activation builds carry venue sourcing, permits and programming logistics on top of fabrication, and festival-week Austin forgives nothing filed late.

Working backwards

The calendar that matters runs in reverse

Show dates don’t create cost pressure — order deadlines do, and the decisive one closes roughly eight weeks out, when advance rates on electrical, rigging and drayage expire. For a team planning across an ocean, the whole project exists to arrive at that gate comfortably, with your only travel being the flight to the show itself.

Rush and last-minute

Festival timelines are the timeline

A sponsorship signed late, a venue that fell through, an activation approved inside the quarter — SXSW projects are born compressed. With design, fabrication and print in one building, approval-to-floor runs about four weeks. Same quality gate — built and photographed before shipping — same published price.

  • Roughly four weeks, approval to show floor
  • Photo-verified pre-build, even on rush
  • 10×10 through 20×40 (3×3 m through 6×12 m) on compressed timelines
  • The published price holds — no rush premium
Questions international exhibitors actually ask

Exhibition stands in Austin — FAQs

How much does an exhibition stand cost in Austin?
The table above is the answer: $13,000 – $15,500 for a 3×3 m (10×10) through $60,500 – $71,500 for a 9×12 m (30×40) — design, fabrication, graphics, furniture, freight, crews and management in one contractual USD figure. The venue bills space, electrical, drayage and rigging separately to every exhibitor; we forecast those lines against your stand before you sign.
We have no US company. Can we still work with you?
Yes — a large share of our clients exhibit in the US with no local presence at all. We invoice the fixed figure in USD to your home-country entity, accept international wire transfer and card, and provide the contract and payment documentation your finance team needs. No US bank account, address or subsidiary required.
Is it really cheaper to build in the US than to ship our stand?
Total both directions of ocean freight, insurance, customs or carnet fees, drayage on the full crated weight, and US labour assembling an unfamiliar metric kit, and the answer is nearly always yes — the comparison above walks through it line by line. The part no spreadsheet captures: a stand damaged mid-ocean weeks before your show has no good outcome. Building locally deletes the risk along with the cost.
Can you rebuild the stand design we use at European shows?
Yes. Send photos or CAD of your existing stand and we rebuild the design to US materials, US electrical code, and the height, rigging and setback rules of your specific show. Most designs translate directly; anything a regulation forces gets flagged at render stage — visible from your desk, months out — not on the show floor.
What is drayage, and is it in your price?
Drayage (material handling) is the venue’s fee for moving freight between dock and stand space, billed by weight and invoiced directly to every exhibitor — no vendor can legitimately include it, and any who claims to has buried it. We forecast the line precisely against your actual stand before you sign, then file inside the advance-rate window. A locally built stand also simply weighs less at the dock than an imported crate, which is the honest way that bill shrinks.
Can our own team build the stand in Austin?
Texas gives exhibitors more latitude than the union cities, but each show and venue still sets its own rules — and activation venues add city permits on top. Our fixed price carries the crews, supervision and paperwork; your team arrives to run the programming, not the power distribution.
We want a SXSW activation, not a trade show stand. Is that you?
Yes — festival-week Austin is mostly that. Activation houses, demo lounges and branded venues carry venue sourcing, permits, continuous-programming power and AV, and scenographic finish, and we run all of it under the same fixed-price model as a hall build. Tell us the concept and the week; the venue question is usually where we start.
Is the Austin Convention Center even open? We’ve heard about construction.
The downtown convention centre is in a multi-year redevelopment, and Austin’s shows have been redistributing across interim venues while it runs — which venue hosts your show depends on the edition. Send us the show name and year and we’ll confirm the actual building from the organiser’s current filings before anything books.
How do approvals work across time zones?
Mostly asynchronously: renders and revisions move by email on a one-to-two-day cycle, and live calls are scheduled in your morning. The project has two hard checkpoints you can verify from anywhere — approved 3D renders before fabrication, and photographs of your completed, powered stand before it ships to the venue. We run projects with teams across Europe, the Gulf and Asia-Pacific on every major show cycle.
Our US calendar includes other cities. Do you cover them?
More than fifty of them — Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Las Vegas, Chicago and beyond, on the same published fixed model. One stand design, one project manager, and a known USD price in each city, so a multi-show US year budgets in a single sitting from your home office — the full directory lives on our US exhibition stand hub.
