The NAB booth cost calculator

The whole number for the LVCC — what the show bills you, what the venue bills you, and a fixed price for the booth itself.

NAB budgets break differently from most Las Vegas shows. Material handling is a flat rate per square foot, so weight is not where the surprises come from — power, network and rigging for a demo-heavy booth are. This tool estimates every line for your footprint, at advance and floor rates where they apply, beside the fixed, all-inclusive booth price we publish for Las Vegas. Adjust any assumption you have better numbers for.

Space and material-handling rates default to NAB’s most recently published rate card; electrical, internet, rigging and cleaning are planning estimates from typical Las Vegas billing and the assumptions above. The exhibitor services kit for the current edition governs. Material handling is paid up front with the space, so it carries no floor-rate penalty; advance-warehouse storage and third-party shipments are billed separately and are not included. Booth prices are the published Las Vegas range for that footprint on the Las Vegas booth rentals page; the fixed price of a specific design is exact and does not change.

How to read the estimate

At NAB the risk sits in power, network and the deadline

The advance-to-floor spread

The line marked "missing the advance deadline"

Electrical, internet and rigging each carry two prices. That line is the cost of a layout change after the order is filed, or an equipment list that arrives late. It is the most avoidable money in an NAB budget.

Flat-rate handling changes the maths

Square footage, not hundredweight

Because dock-to-booth handling is billed on space rather than weight, heavier display hardware costs nothing extra to bring through the dock. It still costs carrier freight, labour hours and install time, and none of those are flat.

Why 24-hour power is on by default

Servers, encoders, playout

Most NAB booths run hardware that should not be power-cycled every night. Overnight power is billed as a premium on the circuits that need it, so it belongs in the plan from the first floor plan, not as a request on move-in day.

We quote higher and cost less. An exhibit house that leaves the show-billed lines out of the conversation is not quoting the show — it is quoting the booth. The number to compare is the total.

Questions about NAB budgets

Cost FAQs

What does a 20×20 booth at NAB cost in total?
Run it above with your own numbers. With the default assumptions — non-member rate, four demo stations, two wired drops, a hanging sign and overnight power — a 20×20 island comes to roughly $37,000 in space and show-billed lines at advance rates, beside a typical fixed booth price of about $44,500: around $82,000 in total before travel and staffing.
Is material handling really included at NAB?
It is a separate flat fee per square foot, paid with your space, that covers handling from the dock to your booth and back regardless of weight. Advance-warehouse storage and third-party shipments are billed separately.
Is it worth joining NAB for the space rate?
Compare the per-square-foot difference across your footprint with the cost of membership. On a large island the space saving alone can be meaningful; membership also earns priority points for space selection.
Why are labour costs not a show-billed line here?
Because installation and dismantle labour is inside our fixed booth price. We work as your exhibitor-appointed contractor and carry the hours, so a long install is our cost, not yours.
How accurate are these numbers?
Space and material handling follow NAB's published rate card. The other lines are planning estimates; once we have your floor plan and equipment list we price every show-billed line from the current service kit before you commit.
