How dealers walk the NADA Expo

Not in a trickle. In waves, in groups, on somebody else’s schedule.

The NADA Show runs main-stage sessions, workshops and franchise meetings alongside the expo, and dealers move between them on the clock. The hall empties and refills several times a day. A booth designed and staffed for the average hour fails twice: swamped at the peak, idle in the lull. This is how we plan for the wave instead.

Who walks in, and where they go

Three people, one decision

Dealers rarely walk NADA alone. A principal arrives with a general manager and a department head, each judging something different. Pick one and watch the path a well-planned booth gives them.

Design for the wave

Capacity is a design decision before it is a staffing one

01 · Landing room

Room for a group to arrive at once

The measure is not visitors per hour but how many dealer groups the booth can hold in the ten minutes after a session lets out — positions at the aisle, seats inside, and a host who sees them land.

02 · Short to long

Short conversations that earn a meeting

Most first contacts at the peak are minutes long. The layout should make it natural to move a promising group from the aisle to a seat, and a serious one from a seat to the closing room.

03 · Protected time

Pre-booked meetings, shielded from the peak

Executive meetings set before the show belong in a room the wave cannot reach, scheduled into the lulls, so the best conversations of the week are not the ones interrupted.

Measure what the wave was for. Meetings booked, dealer groups seated, and conversations that moved from the aisle to the closing room tell you far more about a NADA booth than badge scans. We design the booth so those moments are easy to count.
