Dallas · For international exhibitors

Exhibition Stand Builder in Dallas

One design. Three Texas cities. One number each.

Custom exhibition stands for Dallas trade shows and markets — fabricated in the US and delivered on one fixed USD price signed before work starts. No ocean freight, no carnets, no US entity required. And because a US programme that includes Dallas usually includes Houston too, this page ends with the circuit maths.

The international decision

Leave the stand at home. Bring the intention.

Exhibitors come to Dallas to open the American market properly — meet distributors, sign the first regional partners, put a face on the brand. Shipping a stand across an ocean sends the opposite signal to your own budget: two freight legs, customs paperwork and weight-billed handling, all spent on moving walls that say nothing a locally built stand couldn’t say better.

Build it on this side instead. Your design language carries over — send photos or CAD of the stand your brand runs at home and we rebuild it to US materials and US electrical code — while the crates, the brokers and the transit risk never touch the project.

01

Nothing crosses a border

No carnets, no brokerage, no duty questions, no crate in clearance while your market opens. Fabricated, trucked and installed inside one country, on one fixed number.

02

US electrical from the start

Overseas components routinely fail US floor inspection — voltage, plugs, certification marks. Everything we wire is US code from the first cable.

03

Your design, translated

Existing stand drawings become a Dallas build: imperial dimensions, your show’s height and rigging rules, forced changes flagged at render stage.

04

Built for the circuit

The approved design is a file, not an asset — rebuilt in Houston, Austin or San Antonio on the same fixed model when the Texas calendar continues.

The US show floor, translated

Three terms that decide a Dallas budget

Exhibitors arriving from Europe, the Gulf or Asia meet a show-floor system here that has no equivalent at home. The full six-term glossary lives on our Las Vegas exhibition stand page; these are the three that bite hardest here.

Drayage

No equivalent outside North America

The venue’s fee for moving freight from dock to stand space, billed by weight. Unavoidable for everyone, forecastable for anyone honest — we price the line against your actual stand before you commit and file at advance rates.

Show labour

≈ Appointed contractors, per show rules

Texas floors leave exhibitors more latitude than the union cities, but what you may build yourself is still set by each show’s regulations, and a custom island is crew-built work under any of them. Our fixed price carries the crews and supervision.

Feet, not metres

Your 6×9 m is their 20×30

US floor plans sell in feet, and market space contracts follow. The pricing table below carries both units — quote your space in whichever your contract uses.

The ocean invoice

The crossing buys crates. The same money buys a stand.

Shipping an owned stand looks free because the stand is paid for. Then the crossing gets priced: crating, two ocean legs, customs, drayage on the loaded weight, and US crews decoding a metric kit against a deadline. For a 6×9 m island, the logistics bill lands within a rounding error of simply building the stand here:

Flying your stand to Dallas
Refurbishment & export crating$4,500
Ocean freight, both directions, insured+ $8,500
Customs brokerage / ATA carnet+ $2,400
Drayage on the full crated weight+ $5,800
US crews assembling an unfamiliar metric kit+ $7,200
Electrical rework to pass US inspection+ $2,600
Spent on logistics, not the stand$31,000
Plus transit damage risk you still own
Pure Exhibits, built in the US
6×9 m (20×30) custom stand, fixed$33,000
Ocean freight & customsNone exist
Domestic round-trip freightIncluded
Install & dismantle crewsIncluded
US-code electricalBuilt in
Spent on the stand itself$33,000
Photo-verified before it ships

On the venue’s invoice in both scenarios: space, electrical service, drayage, rigging, cleaning, internet — the show’s own tariffed charges, billed to every exhibitor whoever builds. The difference is the weight the drayage gets billed on, and which side of the comparison forecast those lines before you signed.

Spend the budget on the market, not the water. One number buys crates on a ship; the other buys a finished stand you approved in photographs — with the design banked for the next Texas stop.

Downtown convention centre · Market Center · resort venues

Three kinds of Dallas floor, three different rulebooks

Dallas exhibiting splits across venue types more than buildings: the downtown convention centre’s rotating trade shows, the Dallas Market Center’s wholesale market weeks, and a heavy corporate calendar in the metro’s resort ballrooms. Each runs its own freight, labour and schedule logic, and the venue type on your contract is the first fact we plan from.

Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center

Rotating national trade shows & congresses

The downtown anchor, hosting a rotation of national shows and association meetings rather than a fixed marquee calendar. Rotation means every project starts with the manual — and we read it before quoting, not after signing.

Dallas Market Center

Market weeks · gift, lighting & home

A wholesale market campus with its own rhythm: compressed market weeks, showroom-dense buildings and temporary exhibit spaces with rules quite unlike a convention hall. First-time international vendors get caught here; our crews don’t.

Resort & corporate venues

Metro-area ballrooms · summits & incentive events

The metro’s resort convention hotels carry a year-round corporate calendar. Ballroom logistics — freight lifts, padded corridors, overnight installs — are their own discipline, covered by the same fixed price.

What we run for you here
  • Venue and hall confirmation from your contract before anything books
  • Floor plan filings and venue approvals
  • Dock target times scheduled to the right building
  • Electrical, rigging and drayage ordered at advance rates
  • COI and contractor paperwork per venue
  • Supervised install, show-day support, dismantle
Worth knowing before you plan

Dallas is a relationship market with a rotation-heavy calendar: the show that brings you this year may be in another city next year, while your Texas distributors stay put. That argues for the rental model twice over — no asset to warehouse between appearances, and a design that rebuilds wherever the calendar goes next.

The Texas circuit

Dallas is rarely the whole answer. It’s the anchor of one.

International programmes that touch Texas usually touch it more than once: Dallas for the market weeks or a rotating national show, Houston for the energy calendar, Austin or San Antonio when the sector calls for them. Run as separate projects with separate vendors, that’s three sets of quotes, three learning curves and three chances for the American services system to surprise you.

Run as a circuit, it collapses to one decision. The stand design is approved once; each city’s build carries its own published fixed price; the same project manager holds the whole year; and the exhibitor manual for every stop gets read by the same people who read the last one. Your Texas year budgets in a single sitting, in USD, from your home office.

01

One design, priced per city

The approved renders rebuild in each Texas city at that city’s published fixed figure — no re-quoting, no redesign fees, no drift in how the brand shows up.

02

One project manager

The person who ran your Dallas build runs Houston and Austin too — with your preferences, artwork and lessons already in hand.

03

One reading of every manual

Each show’s regulations, deadlines and services get processed by the same team, so the second and third stops inherit the first stop’s fluency.

Your US calendar runs past Dallas? Houston, Austin and San Antonio run on the same published fixed model — and beyond Texas, so do Las Vegas, Chicago, Orlando and fifty more cities.

Dallas show calendar

When to start, by show

Dallas runs on rotation and market weeks more than fixed marquee shows, which makes the calendar below deliberately short — the named fixtures are the Market Center’s recurring weeks, and everything else changes year to year. Name your show and we’ll confirm its Dallas year and pull the manual before we quote.

ShowTypical monthVenueStart planning
Dallas Total Home & Gift MarketJanuary & JuneDallas Market Center4 months
LightovationJanuary & JuneDallas Market Center4 months
Rotating national shows & congressesVaries by yearKay Bailey Hutchison CC5 months

Rotation is the planning trap here — a show’s Dallas year is easy to misread from abroad, and space contracts don’t forgive the error. Send us the show name before you book anything; confirming the city and year costs nothing.

Working backwards

The calendar that matters runs in reverse

Show dates don’t create cost pressure — order deadlines do, and the decisive one closes roughly eight weeks out, when advance rates on electrical, rigging and drayage expire. For a team planning across an ocean, the whole project exists to arrive at that gate comfortably, with your only travel being the flight to the show itself.

Rush and last-minute

A month of runway is enough runway

A distributor who committed late, a market space that opened in the final release, a vendor who went quiet — Texas opportunities have a habit of arriving on short notice. With design, fabrication and print in one building, approval-to-floor runs about four weeks. Same quality gate — built and photographed before shipping — same published price.

  • Roughly four weeks, approval to show floor
  • Photo-verified pre-build, even on rush
  • 10×10 through 20×40 (3×3 m through 6×12 m) on compressed timelines
  • The published price holds — no rush premium
Questions international exhibitors actually ask

Exhibition stands in Dallas — FAQs

How much does an exhibition stand cost in Dallas?
The table above is the answer: $13,000 – $15,500 for a 3×3 m (10×10) through $60,500 – $71,500 for a 9×12 m (30×40) — design, fabrication, graphics, furniture, freight, crews and management in one contractual USD figure. The venue bills space, electrical, drayage and rigging separately to every exhibitor; we forecast those lines against your stand before you sign.
We have no US company. Can we still work with you?
Yes — a large share of our clients exhibit in the US with no local presence at all. We invoice the fixed figure in USD to your home-country entity, accept international wire transfer and card, and provide the contract and payment documentation your finance team needs. No US bank account, address or subsidiary required.
Is it really cheaper to build in the US than to ship our stand?
Total both directions of ocean freight, insurance, customs or carnet fees, drayage on the full crated weight, and US labour assembling an unfamiliar metric kit, and the answer is nearly always yes — the comparison above walks through it line by line. The part no spreadsheet captures: a stand damaged mid-ocean weeks before your show has no good outcome. Building locally deletes the risk along with the cost.
Can you rebuild the stand design we use at European shows?
Yes. Send photos or CAD of your existing stand and we rebuild the design to US materials, US electrical code, and the height, rigging and setback rules of your specific show. Most designs translate directly; anything a regulation forces gets flagged at render stage — visible from your desk, months out — not on the show floor.
What is drayage, and is it in your price?
Drayage (material handling) is the venue’s fee for moving freight between dock and stand space, billed by weight and invoiced directly to every exhibitor — no vendor can legitimately include it, and any who claims to has buried it. We forecast the line precisely against your actual stand before you sign, then file inside the advance-rate window. A locally built stand also simply weighs less at the dock than an imported crate, which is the honest way that bill shrinks.
Can our own team build the stand in Dallas?
Texas gives exhibitors more latitude than the union cities, but each show’s regulations still govern what you may do yourself, and a custom island is crew-built work under any of them. Our fixed price already carries the crews and supervision — for a team flying in from overseas, there’s nothing to build, source or manage either way.
We exhibit in Dallas and Houston in the same year. How does that work with you?
As one project with two builds. The stand design is approved once, each city carries its own published fixed price, and the same project manager runs both — your artwork, preferences and show-floor lessons carry forward automatically. You budget the Texas year in one sitting and sign one number per city, with no re-quoting between them.
Market weeks at the Dallas Market Center — is that the same as a trade show?
Operationally, no. Market weeks run compressed schedules in a wholesale campus with showroom-dense buildings and temporary exhibit rules quite different from a convention hall — freight access, install windows and display regulations all shift. It’s a rhythm our crews already work; for a first-time international vendor, that familiarity is most of the value.
How do approvals work across time zones?
Mostly asynchronously: renders and revisions move by email on a one-to-two-day cycle, and live calls are scheduled in your morning. The project has two hard checkpoints you can verify from anywhere — approved 3D renders before fabrication, and photographs of your completed, powered stand before it ships to the venue. We run projects with teams across Europe, the Gulf and Asia-Pacific on every major show cycle.
Our US calendar includes other cities. Do you cover them?
More than fifty of them — Houston, Las Vegas, Chicago, Orlando, Los Angeles and beyond, on the same published fixed model. One stand design, one project manager, and a known USD price in each city, so a multi-show US year budgets in a single sitting from your home office — the full directory lives on our US exhibition stand hub.
